"He adored New York City. He idolized it all out of proportion..."
-Woody Allen, Manhattan
Viva Woody. Viva Manhattan

-Woody Allen, Manhattan
And who does not? Allen dixit. I was
going through old files this afternoon and I came across the pictures from my
trip to New York back in 2009 and I couldn’t help but to share them with you.
Maybe because of my already existing passion towards design and architecture,
maybe because of it being a myth due to film and television. Maybe because this
bustling city it irradiates a special magnetism. The noise in the “fifth”, the
bohemian spirit of the “village”, the ability to change cultures while crossing
Grand Street going from Little Italy to Chinatown, feeling like an ant in the
Financial District, getting an epilepsy attach while in Times Square, sitting
at the MET steps just like Blair Waldorf, freaking out with the whole MOMA,
becoming the king of burgers, carbohydrates, hot dogs and “Magnolia’s” cupcakes and above
all, watching the city flowing. Watching people go by. New York’s image and
shape is a true reflection of the contrast of the people that live there.
Bejeweled ladies taking their Afghan hounds and dalmatas for a walk and the
rapper version of Kobe Bryant. For all of this and for many more, I loved it. I
have to go back and I will go back. You never discover a city a 100% and it’s
always good to see it with different eyes. I hope you like them. Long live
Woody. Long live Manhattan.
